Sizing & Fit Guide
Sizing & Fit
Everything Stally makes is built to be worn and washed often, so getting the size right the first time matters. This page has the size charts for all Stally apparel, how to measure yourself in about two minutes, and how to read the fit notes on each product page.
Every chart below uses body measurements in inches. Measure yourself, find the row you land in, and then check the Fit notes on the product page you're looking at. Every piece lists how it's cut and which way to go if you're between sizes, because pieces cut for different fits should not be sized the same way.
How to measure yourself
You need a soft tape measure and two minutes. Measure over light clothing or bare skin, keep the tape level and snug against the body without pulling tight, and stand naturally. If you don't have a tape measure, wrap a string or phone-charger cable around yourself and lay it against a ruler or yardstick.
- Chest
- Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, under your arms, keeping it level across your back and shoulder blades. This is the number that decides your size in every Stally top.
- Waist
- Measure around your natural waist, the narrowest point of your torso, usually just above the hip bones and belly button. Keep the tape snug, not tight. This is not where your pants sit.
- Low hip / seat
- Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat. This is the second number that decides your size in Stally bottoms.
- Inseam
- Take a pair of pants that fit the way you like and measure along the inside seam from the crotch to the bottom of the hem. Compare that to the garment inseam listed on the bottoms charts.

How Stally fits
The charts tell you your size. The cut tells you how that size will feel. Every Stally product page has a Fit section that says which of these it is and which direction to go if you're between sizes.
Athletic fit. Cut closer through the chest and shoulders and trimmer through the body. It sits snugger than a standard tee on purpose, so it moves with you instead of hanging off you. Order your usual size for the fit it was built for. Between sizes, or want it relaxed? Size up one.
Relaxed and boxy fits. A roomier body, often with a drop shoulder. These run generous by design. Order your usual size for the intended look, or size down one if you want it closer to the body.
Unisex pieces. Some Stally pieces are unisex and sized in men's. The product page says so. Women should use the men's chart and size down one from their usual size.
If you're between sizes
Your chest and waist may land in different rows. For tops, go with your chest measurement; that's the one that decides whether it fits through the shoulders. For bottoms, go with your low hip if it lands in a larger row than your waist, since a waistband can be adjusted and a seat can't.
Then let the cut decide the direction: size up on an athletic fit for more room, size down on a relaxed fit for a closer one. When it still isn't clear, order the size the chart points to. Size exchanges on U.S. orders are free within 30 days, and they're the most common request we get.
Sizing and fit FAQ
- Are these body measurements or garment measurements?
- Body measurements. Measure yourself and find your row. The one exception is inseam on the bottoms charts, which is the approximate length of the garment's inside leg seam.
- How do I know whether a piece is athletic fit or relaxed fit?
- Open the Fit section on the product page. Every Stally piece lists how it's cut and whether to size up or down if you're between sizes.
- Why is there a gap between XL and 2XL on the men's chart?
- The chart shows the center of each size range. If your chest is 44 to 46 inches, you're between XL and 2XL. On an athletic fit, size up to 2XL for a relaxed feel or stay in XL for the fit it was built for. On a relaxed or boxy fit, XL will still fit roomy.
- Can women wear the unisex pieces?
- Yes. Unisex pieces are sized in men's, and the product page says when a piece is unisex. Use the men's chart and size down one from your usual women's size.
- How do I choose between a jogger and a straight-leg?
- They share the same waist and hip sizing. Joggers are cut with a shorter inseam to sit at the ankle. Straight-leg styles run longer with a straight leg through the hem. Pick the size from your waist and hip, then choose the leg you want.
- Will it shrink in the wash?
- Follow the care label: machine wash cold, tumble dry low, no bleach, and don't iron over any print or patch. Our fabrics are chosen to hold their shape wash after wash when cared for that way.
- What if I order the wrong size?
- Email stally@stallybrand.com with your order number within 30 days of delivery. Size exchanges on U.S. orders are free, including the return label and the replacement shipping. Items need to be unworn and unwashed with tags attached. Full details are on our Returns & Exchanges page.
